At 7 a.m. Nov. 16, a pickup truck driven by a Suring woman skidded on an icy spot on County Road A in the town of Maple Valley, entered a ditch and overturned. The vehicle sustained moderate damage, and the driver was transported to a medical facility for treatment of her injuries. She was ticketed for failure to have control of the vehicle.
At 2:28 p.m. Nov. 19, a car driven by a woman from Mountain swerved to avoid striking a deer on Star Lake Road in the town of Riverview. Her vehicle skidded into a ditch on the south side of the road and struck a tree. She was not injured. Her car was damaged severely.
At 2:28 p.m. Nov. 19, a pickup truck operated by a man from Lena was westbound on Military Road, town of Stiles, and struck a pedestrian walking against traffic on the roadway. The pedestrian was identified as a woman from Lena. The man stated, due to the angle of the sun, he did not see the woman, who was transported to a medical facility for serious injuries. After impact, the man’s vehicle entered the ditch on the north side of the roadway. He was not injured.
At 7:45 p.m. Nov. 19, a man from Appleton was driving behind a semi on County Road M in the town of How. The driver of the semi signaled a right turn into a narrow driveway, and the Appleton man assumed the semi driver was indicating he should pass his truck. In doing so, the car struck the front bumper of the semi and sustained moderate damage.
At 8:53 p.m. Nov. 19, a man from Pound was driving a van on County Road B in the town of Spruce, saw a deer on the roadway and avoided it but glanced back after he had passed. In doing so, his vehicle traveled onto the shoulder of the roadway and struck a guard rail, causing moderate damage to the van.
