Mary Lou Wickman

Mary Lou Wickman, 69, of Oconto Falls, formerly of Abrams, died Tuesday afternoon, Dec. 17, 2013, at MeadowLands Assisted Living. She was born Jan. 8, 1944, in Manitowoc to Richard and Mary Ann (Stradal) Rhode. Mary Lou grew up in Manitowoc where she attended school, graduating from Lincoln High School with the Class of 1962. On Sept. 26, 1964, she married Willy Wickman at St. Innocents Catholic Church in Manitowoc. The couple moved in 1968 to the Abrams area, where Mary Lou was a member of St. Louis Catholic Church and was active in the Friends of Abrams. She was also a strong supporter of the Abrams-Oconto Falls Youth Wrestling programs. Mary Lou had also been employed at Coleman Products for over 15 years. Survivors are her two sons, Bill (Betsy) Wickman, Wausaukee, and Bob (Susan) Wickman, Spring Green; six grandchildren, Brooke, Sara and Grace, Kaylee, Ryan and Ethan; two sisters, Bonnie (Robert) Zarn, Florida, and Ann Rhode, Manitowoc; one brother, Dave (Donna) Rhode, North Carolina; one niece, Alex Rhode, Boston, Mass. She was preceded in death by her parents. Visitation was held Saturday, Dec. 21, 2013, at St. Anthony Catholic Church in Oconto Falls. Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated Saturday at the church with the Rev. Joel Sember officiating. Entombment took place at Knollwood Memorial Park in Manitowoc. Jones Funeral Service in Oconto Falls is serving the Wickman family. The Wickman family would like to thank the staff of MeadowLands and good friends Dan and Robin Allen, Pete and Christine Schenkoski, and Cookie Konitzer for the care and concern shown Mary Lou during their time together.
