Eric A. Bayer, 35, Suring, pleaded no contest to possession of THC (tetrahydrocannabinols) – second and subsequent offense. He was fined $750, must pay DNA surcharge of $250 and court costs of $2081.75 and have all drugs confiscated. He received credit for one day in jail.
A preliminary hearing was held for Howard Lucas, 39, Green Bay. He faces a charge of operating a motor vehicle without the owner’s consent as party to a crime. A $1,500 cash bond continues. His arraignment is March 10.
Proceedings from Feb. 18
Christopher R. Nelson, 28, Coleman, pleaded not guilty at his arraignment on a felony charge of operating a motor vehicle without the owner’s consent as party to a crime, which allegedly occurred Jan. 11 to Jan. 13 in Oconto County. Bond was modified from $1,500 to $500, and a pretrial conference is March 13.
Dennis P. Arendt, 18, Oconto, pleaded no contest to a felony charge of causing a child over the age of 13 to view/listen to sexual activity, which allegedly occurred Oct. 15 through Nov. 20 in the city of Oconto. Bond remains at $20,000. A sentencing hearing is scheduled April 14.
An initial appearance was held for Paul D. Dubois, 39, Crivitz, on an alleged felony charge of substantial battery as party to a crime, which allegedly occurred Feb. 16 in the town of Riverview. A cash bond of $1,000 was set. A continued initial appearance is March 13.
A restitution hearing was held for Daniel Lee Schmidt, 30, Shawano, currently incarcerated in Dodge Correctional Institute and serving a life sentence for first degree intentional homicide. The court ordered restitution of $6,915, that any and all prison wages, monies, funds and accounts of the defendant be applied while incarcerated up to 25 percent gross, to be applied first to the restitution to the victim’s family, Donna Marsh, and then to court costs. Total restitution is set at $15,652.18.
Proceedings from Feb. 17
An arraignment was held for Desirae L. LaFortune, 33, Hobart, who pleaded not guilty to two charges of felony interfering with custody beyond visitation, which allegedly occurred on or about Dec. 1 in the city of Oconto. A status conference is set for March 19. A signature bond of $2,500 continues.
Aaron D. Yokeum, 35, Mountain, was arraigned on a felony charge of substantial battery as a repeater, which allegedly occurred on Sept. 21 in the town of Mountain. He pleaded not guilty, and a pretrial conference is March 19. A cash bail of $1,000 continues.
An initial appearance was held for Tim W. Lintner, 61, Green Bay, on a felony charge of burglary of a building or dwelling, which allegedly occurred Feb. 14 in the town of Gillett. A cash bond of $20,000 was set, and his continued initial appearance will be held March 13.
David A. Wilson, 29, Appleton, and currently incarcerated at Redgranite Correctional Institute, pleaded no contest to an amended felony charge of sexual assault of a child under 16. A second felony charge was read into the record. A presentencing investigation was ordered, and a sentencing hearing will be held April 8. A cash bond of $10,000 is continued.
Proceedings from Feb. 14
James E. McDonald, 26, Oconto, made an initial appearance on four felony and four misdemeanor counts relating to the same incident, which occurred on Feb. 13 in the city of Oconto Falls. A cash bond of $500 was revoked, and a new bond of $20,000 was set. He has a continued initial appearance set for March 7.
Sherry L. Humblet, 43, Stiles, waived her right to a preliminary hearing. She faces a felony charge of theft of movable property, which allegedly occurred between March 1 and Oct. 13 in the city of Oconto. The defendant was bound over for arraignment March 13, and a $1,000 signature bond continues.
Proceedings from Feb. 3
David M. Ullrich, 40, Lakewood, was ordered to spend 90 days in jail with work release privileges for attempting to intimidate a victim on Sept. 7, 2012, in the town of Lakewood. He was ordered to spend 90 days in jail, to run consecutive to the first jail sentence, for a charge of disorderly conduct that took place Sept. 8 in the town of Lakewood. He must also pay $343 court costs.
