GOP to gather for Lincoln Day luncheon

The Republican Party of Oconto County will hold its Lincoln Day luncheon on Saturday, March 22, at Red Maple Golf Course, 501 Golf Course Road, Suring. The keynote speaker will be state Rep. John Nygren, of Wisconsin’s 89th Assembly District, chairman of the Joint Finance Committee. A public safety and law enforcement panel will feature Brad Schimel, Waukesha County district attorney and GOP candidate for Wisconsin attorney general. Doors will open at noon for a social, with opening remarks and the keynote speaker at 1 p.m. Lunch will be served at 1:30 p.m., followed by a panel discussion and other presentations from at 2:30-4 p.m. Others scheduled to appear are state Sen. Tom Tiffany, state Rep. Jeff Mursau and 2014 secretary of state candidates Jay Schroeder and Bill Folk. Candidate Julian Bradley has also been invited, along with state treasurer candidates Scott Feldt and Matt Adamczyk. Baked ham and broasted chicken will be served on a lunch buffet. Cost is $20 per person. Reservations are requested.
