High school graduations are coming up soon, and organizers of the chemical-free graduation party at Shawano Community High School are busy planning for the 38th annual event.
Matthew Raduechel, high school principal, recently sent a letter to area businesses asking for assistance.
“We want to provide this year’s graduates with the opportunity to safely celebrate this important milestone in their lives by inviting them to participate in a graduation party they will never forget,” he wrote.
Businesses are invited to sponsor specific events such as inflatable games, a hypnotist, the silent auction and pizza for about 200 people.
Each senior will pay $15 to attend, but more funds are needed for food and prizes.
Prizes can also be donated for the casino, bingo, silent auction or other games. Donations can be dropped off at the school, or arrangements can be made for someone to pick them up.
Individuals are needed to set up, serve food, supervise and clean up.
Of course, plenty of food and drinks are needed.
All contributions are tax-deductible and are needed by May 1.
