Carthage College
Olivia Holschuh, of Little Suamico, participated in Carthage College’s nursing class of 2027 White Coat Ceremony on Sept. 20 in the A. F. Siebert Chapel on campus in Kenosha.
The ceremony represents the end of foundational classes for the nursing students. For students in their junior year, this milestone signifies a transition to specialty-focused clinical coursework for the remaining two years at Carthage before graduating with a bachelor of science degree in nursing and becoming eligible to take the exam to become a professional registered nurse.
Carthage’s direct-entry nursing program educates future health care professionals in simulation labs with a focus on compassionate, patient-centered care. The newly established School of Health offers undergraduate majors in allied health science, exercise and sport science, neuroscience, social work, sociology and criminal justice, as well as a five-year track leading to a master’’s degree in athletic training.
UW-Whitewater
Gareth Ollmann, from Pulaski, and Ryan Symons, from Little Suamico, are among the student musicians who are part of the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater Warhawk Marching Band for the 2025-26 academic year.
Ollmann, who is studying arts and science AAS at UW-Whitewater, is part of the baritone section in the marching band.
Symons, who is studying finance at UW-Whitewater, is also part of the baritone section in the marching band.
UW-Whitewater
Gareth Ollmann, from Pulaski, who is studying arts and science AAS at the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater, will perform in the university’s Whitewater Symphony Orchestra and Chamber Orchestra during the 2025-26 academic year.
Ollmann plays trombone for the group, which includes 43 student musicians.

Taylor Johnson, of Shawano, has been named to the 2025 spring trimester dean’s list at Palmer College of Chiropractic’s main campus in Davenport, Iowa.
