Marjorie M. Sweda

Marjorie M. Sweda, 69, of the town of Underhill, Oconto County, passed away peacefully at her home on Wednesday, Nov. 27, 2013, with her loving husband by her side. Marjorie was born Jan. 21, 1944, in Mount Clemens, Mich., a daughter of the late Harold and Hazel (Socia) DeCaussin. She attended school in Mount Clemens, and following graduation from high school, she attended St. Mary’s School of Nursing in Milwaukee. On Aug. 25, 1979, she was united in marriage to John R. Sweda in Milwaukee. Following their marriage the couple lived in Oconomowoc for 10 years. Then as John would tell you, they got very lucky and were able to move to the country. Marjorie was the owner/operator of Sweda Lightning Protection. Marjorie was an extremely devoted grandmother and an avid collector of angels. She is survived by her devoted husband, John Sweda, of the town of Underhill; one son, Bill Sweda, of Mountain; her daughter, Dustie Sweda, of Texas; three grandsons, John and Dan Sweda and Troy LeClaire; four granddaughters, Tiffany, Kaytee, Nicole and Simone; one great-grandson, Carter Sweda; two brothers, Charlie (Judy) DeCaussin and Ralph (Lisa) DeCaussin, both of Michigan; and one sister, Kandi Faust. Marjorie was preceded in death by her parents and one son, Michael Sweda. A gathering time to remember, celebrate and reflect on the life of Marjorie Sweda will be held from 11 a.m. until 2 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 21, at Schroeder-Mickelson Funeral Service of Shawano. A prayer service will follow at 2 p.m. In lieu of flowers and plants, the family has requested memorials in the name of Marjorie Sweda for the Wounded Warrior Project.
