Lyle Brazeau

Lyle “Buck” Brazeau, 80, Gillett, passed away Tuesday afternoon, Aug. 20, 2013, at his residence. Lyle was born Oct. 10, 1932, to the late Samuel and Mary (Miller) Brazeau. On Dec. 13, 1952, Buck married his first wife, Elizabeth (Davis) Brazeau. She preceded him in death on Aug. 4, 2009. On Oct. 23, 2010, Buck re-married Alberta (Ryan) Brazeau. He was a former member of the Gillett American Legion Post 300 and the Suring Historical Society in Suring. Lyle served in the the U.S Army in Korea during the Korean conflict. Throughout the course of Buck’s life he enjoyed many hobbies and passions, one of which was collecting antique tractors, but nothing was more important than family. Lyle is survived by his wife, Alberta Brazeau, Gillett; one daughter and son-in-law, Connie and Glen Zilkoske, Gillett; one son and daughter-in-law, Roger and Tina, Green Bay; four grandchildren, Susan (Robert) Seide, Clintonville, Joseph Zilkoske, Gillett, Sara (Michael) Thorsen and David Brazeau, both of Minnesota; three great-grandchildren, Joshua, Ashleigh and Courtney Zilkoske, all of Gillett; two sisters, Bernice Christiansen, Cecil, and Ronnie Carlson, Gillett; four stepchildren, Debbie (Carroll) Fabry, Suring, Tammy (Mark) Riorden, Madison, Sandy (Tom) School, Green Bay, and Patrick (Dawn) Cramer, Colorado; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. He is preceded in death by his former wife, Elizabeth (Davis) Brazeau, and two sisters, Agnes and Jean. Friends called Saturday, Aug. 24, at Kuehl Funeral Home, 108 E. Main St., Gillett. A memorial service was held at 1 p.m. with Pastor John Laatsch officiating. A memorial fund has been established and will be designated at a later date.
