Little decisions made are of infinite importance

In a recent newsletter article I subscribe to, the author, Sahil Bloom, quotes a short passage from C.S. Lewis that I thought was worth sharing: “Good and evil both increase at compound interest. That is why the little decisions you and I make every day are of such infinite importance. The smallest good act today is the capture of a strategic point from which, a few months later, you may be able to go on to victories you never dreamed of.” I often hear people say, “Whatever, it doesn’t matter anyway.” Rather, I think that a mindset framed upon the realization that indeed, everything matters, is one that will lend much more favorable for all of us throughout our respective journeys. Bloom talks about the fact that “you don’t get to pick and choose when to show up, because the world will ignore your best and judge you for your worst.” I think that every day provides us a new opportunity to win in the game of life. For that to come to fruition, it’s important to show up with great energy, enthusiasm, a sense of purpose and hope, and to demonstrate these qualities for the people that look to us to show them the way. Approaching every day with a sense of gratitude and appreciation for another chance “to win the day” is a mindset I look forward to implementing in 2025. I hope you all have a great start to your new year and that 2025 brings happiness, peace and success in all that you do.
