Judith K. Vander Heyden, 73, Tigerton, died Tuesday, March 10, 2014, at Kennedy Park and Rehabilitation Center, Schofield, under the care of Aspirus Comfort Care and Hospice Services.
She was born on June 19, 1940, in Antigo, the daughter of the late Thomas and Erma (Litzkow) Jaje.
She was united in marriage to Harvey Daebler in 1960. He preceded her in death in 1969. She then married Henry “Champ” Vander Heyden in Reno, Nev., on July 11, 1975. He preceded her in death on July 24, 2012.
Judy and Champ owned and operated the Rainbow Bar in Tigerton for many years. She enjoyed going to rummage sales and to the casino. Judy loved to spend time with her granddaughter Destiny, along with her other grandchildren.
Survivors include four children, Diane (Butch Grimmer) Johnson, Pleasant Prairie, Eugene Daebler, Wittenberg, Tammy Daebler, Shawano, and Chuck (Rhea) Vander Heyden, Wittenberg; five grandchildren, Serenity, Ashleigh, Breanne, Kayla and Destiny; three great-grandchildren, Brooklyn, Greyson and Sully; and two sisters, Linda (Arthur) Harnden, New Hampshire, and Janet (Donald) Ver Voort, Crivitz. She is also survived by other relatives.
In addition to her parents and husbands, Judy was preceded in death by one son, Billy Daebler.
A memorial service will be held at 7 p.m. Monday, March 17, 2014, at Schmidt & Schulta Funeral Home, Wittenberg. Visitation will be on Monday from 5-7 p.m. at the funeral home.
