Vaughn William Collicott, 101, passed away Aug. 29, 2025, at his home in Kimberly.
Vaughn was born Oct. 18, 1923, in Lincoln, Nebraska, son of the late John and Martha Collicott. He was a veteran, having served in the U.S. Navy during World War II. On Feb. 22, 1947, Vaughn married Doris Nitz, of Janesville.
He is survived by a daughter, Diana (Wayne) Scoville; granddaughter, Gidget (John) Peerenboom; grandsons, Dan (Sherry) Collicott and Brian (Jennifer) Collicott; great-grandchildren, Steven (Sarah) Scott, Emma and Lily Peerenboom, Lexi (P.J.) Root, Justin (Brianna) Collicott, Isabelle and Elynn Collicott; six great-great-grandchildren; many nieces and nephews; and his beloved sister-in-law, Judie Frederick.
Vaughn was preceded in death by his parents; sisters, Edith Anderson and Doris Bergsma; brothers, Melvin Collicott, Marlin Collicott and Donald Collicott; and his cherished son, Terry Collicott.
A memorial service with military honors will take place Nov. 14, 2025, at 6 p.m. at Verkuilen VanDeurzen Family Funeral Home, 2401 Fieldcrest Drive, Kaukauna. A time of visitation will be held Friday from 4 p.m. until the time of the service at the funeral home.
A graveside committal service will be held Nov. 17, 2025, at 11 a.m. at Oak Hill Cemetery, Janesville.
