Rose Marie V. Childs, 96, passed away at Country View Care Center on Friday, Feb. 7, 2025.
Rose Marie was born in Milwaukee on Dec. 25, 1928, to Bruno and Agnes (nee: Kaniewski) Koszewski. She was a longtime employee of General Motors.
Rose Marie married Robert J. Childs Sr. He preceded her in death on April 28, 1995.
She enjoyed quilting, crocheting, ceramics, stamping, numerous other crafts and working in her garden.
Rose Marie is survived by her children, Christine (Tom) Beyers, Catherine (Bob) Young, Robert Childs and Cindy Anderson; daughter-in-law, Jo Ellen Childs; 17 grandchildren; 27 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; sister, Bernice Alcorn of Virginia. She is further survived by other relatives and friends.
Rose Marie was preceded in death by her daughter, Carol Ciurro, and sons, Ronald Childs and Robert Childs Jr.
Visitation for Rose Marie will be held at the funeral home on Thursday, Feb. 13, 2025, from 5-7 p.m. Funeral services will be held on Friday, Feb. 14, 2025, at 10 a.m. Interment will take place in Wood National Cemetery at a later date.
Memorials to American Lung Association, St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital or charity of your choice have been suggested.
