Roger “Botch” Fish Sr., 69, passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday Oct. 15, 2025, in Green Bay, with his family by his side.
Botch was born July 15, 1956, to Mary (Snake) Fish and the late Raymond Fish Sr. Botch is known by everyone as the local handyman, someone who was ready to and willing to help anyone on a moment’s notice. He was always prepared and willing to give aid in a time of need, especially to the elders. He never complained.
Botch had a personality that was carefree, always laughing, smiling. He will be missed for sure.
He had many, many friends that all came to share good times and laughs. He enjoyed cutting loads of wood, working in the woods and fiddling with small engines and fixing cars.
It is especially noteworthy that, a man such as Botch Fish, a survivor of polio, who adapted to living with permanent injuries, which he chose not to hold him back but persevere in helping everyone, doing more than the average person. He was a person of outstanding character and charisma.
Botch is survived by his wife, Butler; children, Stacey, Roger “Botch” Jr., Richard Boyd and Christy Rae; and grandchildren, John, Roger Frank and Amari Joseph.
He is further survived by his mother, Mary Fish; brothers and sisters, Raymond “Biddy” (Bernadette) Fish, Gwendoyln Fish, Joan (Lonnie) Schreiber, Evora “Tinker” Webster, Mary “Mazzy” Skenadore, Carme Fish, Laurie “Molie” (Randy) Reiter, Kathy “Goo Goo” (Robert) Munoz, Rosie (Duane) Pecore, Barbara Joe “Beeper” Fish, Elaine “Poopsie” (Vince) Peña and Arthur “Herman” (Andrea) Fish.
He is further survived by numerous nieces and nephews, Jason, Ryan, Robert, Michael, Bernard Fish Sr., Laura White, Lana, Robert, Richard, Sneaker, Chauncey, Robert, Dugan, Troy, Bronson, Jessie, Clearwater, Misty, Heidi, Jeffrey, Jr., Jeremy, Joel, Josh, Keri Rose, Jennifer, Kevin Jr., Dahlia, Kyle, Alex, Maria, Brook, Whitney, Leland, Lyndsay, Sunnie, Brandon, Shanice and Angel; and as well as other numerous other relatives and friends.
Botch is preceded in death by his brothers, Robert “Issa” Fish, Walter “Rock” Fish and Jeffrey “Joper” Fish; and father, Raymond, Fish Sr.
A funeral Mass for Botch will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, Oct. 18, 2025, at St. Anthony Catholic Church in Neopit with the Rev. Hanz Christian officiating. Wake service will be held on Thursday, Oct. 16, 2025, starting at 4 p.m. at the Ryan Fish Sr. residence, 3475 Cottage Ave., Neopit, and continue until the time of procession on Saturday. Burial will be held at St. Anthony Catholic Cemetery following the service. Everyone is invited for lunch at St. Michael Parish Hall following the burial.
