Robert William ‘Bob’ Schraeder

Robert William “Bob” Schraeder, age 80, of Keshena, entered heaven on July 30, 2024. Born on Oct. 20, 1943, in Milwaukee, he is the son of the late Reuben and Erna (Tadeyeski) Schraeder. Bob married the love of his life, Patricia “Patty” Schraeder, on Oct. 30, 1971. Bob proudly served in the United States Army from 1966-72. He lived in Milwaukee most of his life until he and Patty moved to their home on Legend Lake in Keshena. Other than the military, he cherished all his years as a hard-working truck driver. Bob and Patty enjoyed bowling together, and many happy memories were made while camping, boating, fishing and enjoying campfires at the lake. Bob was an avid Green Bay Packers fan and loved collecting Packers memorabilia. He was a doting husband, brother, friend and will be deeply missed. Bob is survived by his sister, June (Bill) Nitecki; his sister-in-law, Arlene (Mike) Dierbeck; nieces, nephews and so many close friends. He is also survived by his cherished, extended Van Asten/Wagner family who describe Bob and Patty as the best “adopted” parents and neighbors in the world. We also thank the Zoellers for their friendship, caring and kindness. Bob is preceded in death by his wife of 51 years, Patty; his parents; his brothers, George “Butch” and James “Jim” Schraeder; his brother-in-law, Bill Nitecki; and other relatives and friends. As we honor Bob’s wishes, there will be no funeral service. Entombment will be at Holy Cross Mausoleum in Milwaukee at a later date.
