Richard Michael Gosz, 78, Kaukauna, died Dec. 31, 2019. He was born in Shawano on Feb. 17, 1941, the son of the late Norbert and Catherine (Heinz) Gosz.
Dick graduated from Shawano High School in 1959. He was employed at Shawano Journal Printing and then at the Shawano Evening Leader. He married Regis Rosenow at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Shawano in 1963. Following their residence in Shawano, Dick and Regis moved to Menasha, where Dick worked at Graphic Composition. They then moved to Kaukauna, where he was employed at the Kaukauna Times for 33 years until his retirement in 1999. Dick served as secretary treasurer for his local union for many years and was a member of St. John Nepomucene Catholic Church in Little Chute.
Dick was an avid fisherman his whole life and enjoyed many other hobbies, especially custom woodworking and model airplane building and flying. He also enjoyed working on home improvement projects and spending weekends on their boat at the Manitowoc Marina. Dick was a very family oriented man and also enjoyed socializing and conversing with friends.
Richard is survived by his wife, Regis; their children, Joan (David) Jansen, Appleton, Michael (Mary Lee) Gosz, Chicago, and Jeffrey (Andrea) Gosz, Chicago; and grandchildren, Madeline and David (Mike and Mary Lee) and Andrew and Jack (Jeff and Andrea). He is further survived by his brothers, Thomas Gosz, Shawano, Patrick (Mary) Gosz, Wausau, and John (Marilyn) Gosz, Schofield; brother-in-law, Ronald (Wendy) Rosenow, Shawano; and nieces and nephews.
Richard was preceded in death by his parents, Norbert and Catherine Gosz; brother, Daniel Gosz; and mother- and father-in-law, Vernal and Marjorie Rosenow.
The funeral liturgy for Richard will be held at St. John Nepomucene Catholic Church, 323 S. Pine St., Little Chute, with the Rev. Ron Belitz officiating. Family and friends will be welcomed at the church on Friday, Jan. 10, 2020, from 10 a.m. until the time of service at noon.
