Donna L. Shaver

Donna L. Shaver, 59, of the town of Richmond, passed away Saturday, Feb. 22, 2020, at her home, surrounded by her family. Donna was born Jan. 12, 1961, in Merrill, a daughter of Marge (Zimmerman) Meyer and the late Harold Meyer. She attended the Merrill schools. On March 29, 1980, she was united in marriage to Frank Shaver at Trinity Lutheran Church in Merrill. Over the years, Donna worked as a babysitter and also worked at the Rhinelander Daily News for a period of time. She enjoyed shooting darts and bowling, and she participated on many teams and leagues along the way. Donna was a loving wife, mother and daughter who would do anything for anyone dear to her heart. Left to cherish her memory are her husband of almost 40 years, Frank; her sons, Mike (Whitney) Shaver, of Shawano, and Franky Shaver, of Rhinelander; six grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; her mother, Marge; and her siblings, Julie Lambrecht, Sharon Schneider, Harley Meyer, Harvey Meyer, Dave Meyer and Paul Meyer. She was preceded in death by her father, Harold; her brother, Mark Meyer; and her sister, Nancy Meyer. A memorial service for Donna will be held Thursday, March 12, 2020, at noon at Hope Community Church in Shawano. Pastor Chris Secor will officiate. Visitation will begin at the church at 10 a.m. and continue until the time of service. Mickelson Funeral and Cremation Service of Shawano is assisting the family with arrangements.
