Ann “Betty Ann” Mary Wynos, 82, passed away on Friday, Oct. 7, 2022, in Antigo. She was born on May 11, 1940, to the late Walter and Dorothy (LaMotte) Peters in Keshena. Ann was united in marriage to Louis “Sabu” Wynos Jr. in Keshena. Louis preceded her in death in 2004.
She loved her family very much and enjoyed spending time with them; especially her grandchildren. Although she was strict in her parenting style early on, Ann became more lenient as the children grew up. Her friends and family remember her as a kind woman who enjoyed camping, attending pow wows, listening to country music and attending festivals in the Milwaukee area. She will be greatly missed.
She is survived by her children, Louis (Lisa) Wynos III, Kathy Lynn and Darin Wynos; numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren and a few great-great-grandchildren. Ann is further survived by her siblings, Dawn Marie, Karen, and numerous half-siblings.
Ann was preceded in death by her children Wendell Peters and Stacy Wynos; and numerous siblings and half siblings.
Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, Oct. 12, 2022, at 11 a.m., at St. Anthony Catholic Church in Neopit with the Rev. Hanz Christian officiating. Visitation will be at the Neopit Community Center on Monday, Oct. 10, 2022, beginning at 2 p.m. until the service on Wednesday.
