Shirley Mae Page Martin, 83, of Oconto Falls, passed away at the home of her sister on Saturday, Jan. 22, 2022, following a short illness. Shirley was born on May 2, 1938, in Green Bay to Oliver and Eyla (Mattox) Page. She spent most of her adult life in Dallas, Texas. Shirley worked as a waitress all her life and raised two daughters on her own, Laurie and Tammy. Laurie preceded Shirley in death in 1996 and left four children: Linda, Jason, Tiffany, and Amber. Tammy lives in Florida with her son, Casey, and her daughter, Stephanie, still lives in Texas. Shirley was a die-hard Packer fan during the over 50 years she lived in Dallas. Sorry Cowboys.
Shirley was further preceded in death by her parents, Oliver Page and Eyla Page Vandenbusch; sisters, Barbara Nylund, RhoDonna Faye Knapstein, and Sylvia Karol Page; brothers, Myron Page and Allen Page.
She is survived by her sisters, Lou (Melvin) VandenBerg and Sharon Schaal. She is further survived by many nieces, nephews, and several grandchildren in Texas. She is one proud momma and grandmother.
Shirley was showered with TLC in her final weeks and days on this earth by the children and grandchildren of her sister, Sharon.
Special thanks to Brad and Julie Schaal, Ben and Michelle Schaal, Lisa Schaal, Tammy Framnes, Stephanie Schaal, and Shannon Bscherer who so lovingly cared for Shirley’s physical needs, and all the rest of the family who gave emotional support for the past three weeks.
