Hawks 5th at River Island

Courtney Baumann shot a 47 and the Shawano Community High School girls golf team placed fifth at a Bay Conference match Thursday at River Island Golf Course in Oconto Falls. Denmark (194) won the match, followed by Marinette (200), Hortonville (203), Oconto Falls (221) and Shawano (224). Baumann was tied for sixth overall with Marinette’s Cassie Hilbert. Shawano’s Megan Beck carded a 56, Julia Beck 57, Emily Smith 64 and Cheyenne Knueppel 67. Denmark’s Meaghan Carney was the medalist with a score of 42.
