Girls basketball team holding annual military night

The Suring High School girls basketball team will hold its military night on Feb. 18 when it takes on Gillett Secondary School. All veterans will be recognized between the junior varsity and varsity game with special recognition of veteran alumni from each school to include Richard Gerndt, Michelle Thomson, Gary Lisowe and Orby Jones. The ceremony will begin at approximately 6:45 p.m. There will also be recognition of Suring American Legion Post 283 who is celebrating its 100th anniversary in 2022. The schedule includes a spaghetti dinner (free to veterans) beginning at 4 p.m. in the school cafeteria. There will be raffle prizes and concessions with proceeds to benefit the American Legion.
