Gerald E. Treptow

Gerald E. Treptow, 71, Bowler, died Monday, March 17, 2014, at his home. He was born on Nov. 24, 1942, in Bowler, the son of Lucille (Fuhrman) Treptow, Bowler, and the late Edward Treptow. Gerald was a U.S. Army veteran. On June 17, 1967, he was united in marriage to Patricia Goyer in Fond du Lac. She preceded him in death on Feb. 9, 2013. Gerald worked for the Shawano County Highway Department for more than 20 years. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and working on cars with his son. Survivors include one son, Anthony (Michelle) Treptow, Birnamwood; his mother, Lucille Treptow, Bowler; four brothers, Roger (Rose Serrano) Treptow, Wabeno, Kenneth (Melodie) Treptow, Hinckley, Ill., Richard (Sandi Pranke) Treptow, Wittenberg, and Edward (Cindy) Treptow Jr., Bowler; two sisters, Betty Treptow, Fond du Lac, and Patsy (Gary) Koenig, Bowler; one sister-in-law, Carol Behr, Fond du Lac, and one brother-in-law, James Goyer, Fond du Lac. He is also survived by other relatives and friends. The funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, March 21, 2014, at Schmidt & Schulta Funeral Home, Wittenberg. The Rev. Dennis Creswell will officiate. Interment will be in Evergreen Cemetery, town of Almon. Visitation will be on Friday from 9:30 a.m. until the time of services at the funeral home.
