UW-Madison Division of Extension is sponsoring an educational workshop to help agricultural lenders and other professionals better understand what farms in northeastern Wisconsin are facing this year.
The event is being held at the Grand Meridian, 2621 N. Oneida St., Appleton on March 17. The event is cooperatively sponsored by Extension offices located in Brown, Door, Fond du Lac, Kewaunee, Marinette, Oconto, Outagamie, Ozaukee, Sheboygan, and Washington Counties.
Topics for the event include the status of the agriculture supply chain; 2022 crop budgets; double cropping in northeast Wisconsin; carbon markets through an agronomic lens; dietary impacts on manure, methane and carbon; and dairy pricing update, forecast, and risk management opportunities.
This program is open for all producers and agriculture professionals to attend. There is a $40 registration fee, which includes lunch and materials. Pre-registration is required.
