Ethel L. Hass, 87, of Clintonville, and formerly of Tigerton, passed away Thursday, Feb. 20, 2014, at Greentree Health & Rehabilitation Center, Clintonville.
Ethel Lorraine Hass was born on April 19, 1926, in the town of Germania, Shawano County, to Louise Hass. She graduated from Tigerton High School and spent most of her life in the Tigerton area. Ethel worked in various jobs at factories in Wausau, Green Bay and Appleton. She was employed the longest with Badger Printing in Appleton doing bookbinding. When her mother took ill, she moved back home to Comet Road. Ethel was an excellent caregiver to her mother and then for her two uncles until they passed away.
She is a former member of St. John Lutheran Church, Tigerton. In 2001, she moved from Tigerton to Sun Valley in Clintonville. Ethel enjoyed her flower gardens, liked to travel, was always ready to go on a road trip, and loved animals, especially horses.
Survivors include many cousins, other relatives and friends.
Ethel was preceded in death by her mother, Louise.
A memorial service will be held on Thursday, Feb. 27, at 7 p.m. at the Beil-Didier Funeral Home, Tigerton. The Rev. Clifford Kessen will officiate, and inurnment will be in the spring at Forest Home Cemetery, Wittenberg. Friends may call on Thursday from 5 p.m. until time of service at the funeral home.
