Western Technical College Rebecca Charles, from Shawano, was named to Western Technical College’s president’s list of high distinction for the summer 2022 term. To be included on the president’s list, students must achieve a grade-point average of 3.5 or higher and carry six or more credits in an associate’s degree or technical diploma program. UW-Oshkosh Following are summer graduates of the University of Wisconsin Oshkosh — many of whom participate in the spring ceremony but become official when their degrees are complete. • Bonduel: Garret G. Riemer, Bachelor of Business Administration in information systems • Abrams: Luke J. Martinson, Master of Science, mathematics education The UW-Oshkosh 148th spring commencement, with a pair of ceremonies May 14, recognized the accomplishments of students from all three of its campuses (Fond du Lac, Fox Cities, Oshkosh) as well as online degree programs. Nearly 1,500 students earned associate, bachelor’s, master’s and doctoral degrees and joined the ranks of more than 100,000 UWO alumni. UW-La Crosse The following area students completed degree requirements at the University of Wisconsin-La Crosse in August. • Lena: Stephanie Peitersen, Bachelor of Science in radiation therapy, highest honors • Sobieski: Thomas Loehner, Bachelor of Science, exercise and sport science, honors UW-Stout Scholarships valued at more than $1.2 million were awarded to 531 University of Wisconsin-Stout students this year through the Stout University Foundation. The students were recognized in a prerecorded video message, which included a list of winners and messages from Chancellor Katherine Frank, donors, alumni and recipients.
