UW-Eau Claire

A total of 430 incoming freshmen received scholarships from the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire for the 2025-26 academic year, with many students receiving multiple awards. Each award varies in amount and criteria.

Local recipients include:

Krakow: McKenna Rohloff, Pulaski High School, Freshman Honors Scholarship

Shawano: Makenna Bubolz, Shawano Community High School, Freshman Honors Scholarship; Makenna Bubolz, Shawano Community High School, Mark of Excellence Scholarship - Renewable; Kennedi Meyers, Shawano Community High School, Freshman Honors Scholarship; Kennedi Meyers, Shawano CommunityHigh School, Mark of Excellence Scholarship - Renewable; Teagen Thompson, Shawano Community High School, Freshman Honors Scholarship; Teagen Thompson, Shawano Community High School, Mark of Excellence Scholarship - Renewable.

Southern New Hampshire University

Katherine Stephenson, of Gresham, has been named to Southern New Hampshire University’s summer 2025 president’s list. The summer terms run from May to August.

Full-time undergraduate students who have earned a minimum grade-point average of 3.7 and above for the reporting term are named to the list.

Others named to the list were Hunter Cronauer, of Townsend; Logan Klein, of Lena; Quinn Kientop, of Pulaski; and Candice Elliott, of Bonduel.

UW-Whitewater

More than 70 first-year students at the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater participated in the university’s ULEAD initiative, completing leadership, career, and life skills training while learning the Whitewater campus and its opportunities to get involved.

Among those who were part of the event were Logan Brabant, Pulaski, whose major at UW-Whitewater is psychology; and Lauren Brovold, Bonduel, whose major at UW-Whitewater is marketing.

The event, which took place Aug. 27-30, is for students in their first year at UW-Whitewater who expressed interest in getting involved and succeeding on campus. Programming for ULEAD included developing a first-year success plan, making connections with peers, faculty, and staff, learning about ethical leadership, and engaging in a community service project.
