Chargers, Bears each win twice in weekend softball matchups

Saturday, May 9

Wittenberg-Birnamwood 4, Auburndale 3

Rory Salvesen hit a triple, while Zoey Thorson, Madison Fisher and Kennedy Benbo each had double as the 20th-ranked Chargers defeated the 21st-ranked Eagles 4-3.

The game-winning run came in the bottom of the seventh inning.

Kendall Lex pitched the full game. She gave up 3 runs on 9 hits and walked 2.

Wittenberg 13, Clintonville 4

The Chargers’ bats were swinging for 17 hits in a 13-4 win over the Truckers.

Arianna Inderdahl hit a home run, and Rory Salvesen had a pair of triples. Kendall Lex, Inderdahl, Jayda Moenke and Kennedy Benbo each had a double.

Salvesen hit 5-for-5 with 3 RBIs and 3 runs scored. Inderdahl was 3-for-4 with 3 RBIs and 2 runs scored.

Brie Ladika and Moenke each had a pair of hits.

Inderdahl pitched the complete game, giving up 4 runs on 5 hits, walking 10 and striking out 12.

Bonduel 2, Marshall 1

Bonduel scored twice in the bottom of the seventh inning to win 2-1 over Marshall. Haley Conradt knocked in Maddie Hert and Audrey Jacobs.

Mary Margelofsky had a double for the Bears. Conradt and Margelofsky each had 2 hits.

Emery Thompson pitched a complete game, giving up 1 run on 3 hits, walking 1 and striking out 9.

Bonduel 10, Elkhart Lake-Glenbeulah 7

Marlie Hartmann hit 4-for-5 with an RBI and 3 runs scored in Bonduel’s 10-7 win over the Resorters.

Gracyn Wudtke hit a triple. Audrey Jacobs had 2 doubles, and Emery Thompson had 1.

Audrey Jacobs, Thompson and Juliana Jacobs each had 2 hits.

Kallie Wilcox picked up the win, pitching three innings. She gave up 4 runs on 4 hits, walked 2 and struck out 2.

Friday, May 8

Pulaski 16, Green Bay Southwest 1

Three Red Raiders hit 3-for-3 in Pulaski’s 16-1 lopsided win over the Trojans.

Molly Molthen had 3 RBIs and 3 runs scored, Madison Bloom hit a double, 2 RBIs and scored once, and Ella Maroszek had a home run, a triple, 3 RBIs and run scored.

Bailey Hronek, Kiera Altman, Kamrie Dorn and Kennedy Nowak also had doubles.

Altman, Dorn and Nowak each had 2 hits.

Dorn was the winning pitcher. In 2 1/3 innings, she gave up 1 run on 2 hits, walked 3 and struck out 4.

Waupaca 13, Oconto Falls 2

Amelia Danielczak hit 2-for-4 with an RBI as the Panthers lost 13-2 to the Comets.

Katelyn Kurek lost on the mound. In five innings, she gave up 13 runs on 10 hits, walked 6 and struck out 5.

Waupaca 13, Oconto Falls 7

Amelia Danielczak hit a home run and Izzy Otto had a triple in the Panthers’ 13-7 loss to the Comets.

Danielczak had 3 hits, while Otto, Katelyn Kurek and Megan Kesler each had 2.

Barely Schultz pitched six innings, gave up 13 runs on 10 hits, walked 7 and struck out 3.

Wittenberg-Birnamwood 19, Antigo 12

It was a day for the offense, as the Chargers defeated the Red Robins 19-12.

Zoey Thorson hit 2-for-6 with a home run, 3 RBIs and 3 runs scored. Rory Salvesen hit 3-for-4 with a triple, 2 RBIs and 4 runs scored.

Alexis Traut hit 4 RBIs, and Jayda Moenke had 3, and Kennedy Benbo added 2.

Kendall Lex won in her 3 innings or work on the mound. She gave up 4 runs on 6 hits and struck out 2.
