Oconto County residents interested in holding public office have five weeks to file nomination papers for the spring election.
Nomination papers are available at Wisconsin’s Government Accountability Board website, gab.wi.gov, or at municipal buildings for town, village and city positions, school district offices for school board races and the Oconto County Courthouse for supervisory seats.
Candidates must submit the papers before 5 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 7. A primary will be held Tuesday, Feb. 18, if needed, with the spring election on Tuesday, April 1.
Following is a list of incumbents:
County supervisors
All 31 Oconto County supervisory districts will be on the ballot. Supervisors are elected for two-year terms.

Mayor
Mayoral races will be on the ballot in three cities. Incumbents are Brad Rice, Oconto Falls; Irene Drake, Gillett; and Victoria Bostedt, Oconto. Mayors hold two-year terms.
City council
Terms expire for Gillett alderpersons Rick Raatz, Ward 1, Tod Anderson, Ward 2, and Nanette Mohr, Ward 3.
In Oconto Falls, incumbents are Jay Kostreva, District 1 (Wards 1 and 2), Marty Coopman, District 2 (Wards 3 and 4) and George Stuckey, District 3 (Ward 5).
In Oconto, incumbents are Roger Reed, Lauren Resch, Al Schreiber and Ron Daul.
Alderpersons hold two-year terms.
School board
School board members serve three-year terms. Incumbents include Jan Stranz and James Spang, Oconto Falls; Nanette Mohr and John Timm, Gillett; and Joanne Nowak and Roger Heisel, Coleman.
In Oconto, Diane Nichols holds the rural seat and Mark Orth, the city seat. Orth has announced he will not run for another term.
Three Suring School Board seats are up for re-election: Eugene School Jr., representing the towns of Bagley, Maple Valley, Spruce; Cathleen Lundgren, representing the towns of Doty, Mountain, Riverview; and Mark Strehlow, representing the town of How.
In Pulaski, incumbents are Pam Denzer, who represents the towns of Maple Grove and Lessor, and Chris Vandenhouten, representing the village of Hobart and town of Oneida.
Village trustees
The two-year terms of village trustees in Lena and Suring are also on the ballot. Incumbents in Lena are Judy Patenaude, Cody King and Craig LeFebre; and in Suring, Rachel Otradovec, Randy Schuettpelz and Cindy Zahn.
Town supervisors
The town of Brazeau will select two supervisors for two-year terms. Incumbents are Rodney Gretzon and David Parmentier.
