Bonduel wrestlers have near sweep

The Bonduel High School wrestling team had a near sweep of Rosholt in a Central Wisconsin Conference meet on the road Thursday. The Bears won every match but the heavyweight, in which Race McClone was pinned by Rosholt’s Cody Tokarski in 3:24, to beat Rosholt 54-6. Getting pins for Bonduel were Dan Tauchen (160) over Cole Bembenek in 1:41; Bennett Gunderson (195) over Cody Kontney in 2:29; Eric Godin (220) over Lucas Wiza in 5:46; Scott Gunderson (106) over Hampton Kedrowiez in 1:57; Garrett Siolka (113) over Kyle Groshek in 3:07; and Travis Wollenberg (126) over Aaron Plisha in 1:20. Bonduel’s Sam Kroening (145) won a 3-2 decision over Aaron Cole. Mitch Sokolski (170) won a 4-0 decision over Jamie Beton. Jacob Wudtke won a 10-5 decision over Tony Kontney. Greg Shafer (138) beat Vlad Evensen 5-1. Bonduel also won one match by forfeit.
