A 65-year-old Oconto Falls doctor was charged Aug. 29 with with first-degree child sexual assault, child sexual exploitation and possession of child pornography.

Judge Jay Conley set a $250,000 cash bond for Isaias R. Cupino. His initial appearance was adjourned until Sept. 11.

Cupino had previously been listed on Prevea Health’s website as a doctor of family medicine who provided primary care services including routine pediatric and adult care and more in Lena.

That page has since been taken down and the link redirects to Prevea’s home page.

According to the criminal complaint, Oconto Falls police were provided a cybertip from the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children. In the cybertip, Facebook reported that on July 12, two files were uploaded to a local IP address, and one of the files contained child sexual abuse material.

Detective Jamie Kuhn confirmed the content to be a picture of Cupino and an infant, and the second file was a video that featured child sexual abuse material, according to the complaint.

The detective believed the child could be living with the offender. Police said they believed there was an imminent safety risk for the child, which led to the execution of a search warrant at Cupino’s home and his subsequent arrest.

According to the complaint, Cupino confirmed he was the adult male depicted in the file.

The complaint said there was no child’s room, nor crib or bed for the child, but there was a pack n play in the master bathroom. Inside the pack n play, the criminal complaint said law enforcement discovered a pink pillow in the shape of women’s breasts, hidden under one of the blankets, alongside a child’s kindle tablet.

Several electronic devices were confiscated from the home.

Other videos depicting the Cupino and the victim together Cupino alone were also discovered.

If found guilty on all charges, Cupino faces up to 125 years in prison and fines up to $200,000. He could also be forced to pay $500 per image of child pornography.
