AROUND THE COMMUNITY: Schmidt gives citation to Pulaski Girl Scout

State Rep. Peter Schmidt recently presented Giselle Rottier, of Pulaski, with an Assembly Citation in recognition of her Girl Scout Gold Award. Schmidt presented the citation to Giselle at a Girl Scouts of the Northwestern Great Lakes Council ceremony, which was held at the Weidner Center on the UW-Green Bay campus. Rottier filmed and created virtual camp tour videos for each of the Girl Scout camp properties. The Gold Award is the highest and most prestigious award in the Girl Scouts, comparable to the Boy Scouts of America’s Eagle Scout award. The Gold Award is awarded to fewer than 6% of Girl Scouts annually. “It was an honor to meet Giselle and learn more about her Gold Award Project,” Schmidt said. “Giselle exemplifies the Wisconsin work ethic. Her drive and determination will serve her well, and northeast Wisconsin is a better place because of her efforts.” Shawano County libraries announces summer lineup Public libraries across Wisconsin are gearing up to offer summer reading programs for all ages.
