Agnes M. ‘Angie’ Murphy

Agnes M. “Angie” Murphy, 89, Green Bay, passed away peacefully with her family by her side on Sunday, Feb. 16, 2014. She was born on July 26, 1924, in Green Bay to the late Thomas and Francis (Wygralak) Taylor. Angie married the love of her life, Maurice “Morris” Murphy, in October 1945. They had six children together and celebrated many years of marriage until Morris’ passing on June 11, 2006. Survivors include five children, Richard “Rick” (Gail), Daniel J. (Patricia Ann), Lynne, Christine (Lee) and Timothy P. (Holly); 12 grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; sister-in-law, Delores Taylor; and many nieces and nephews. Angie was preceded in death by her husband, Morris; her parents; son, Jeff; one grandson; and 12 brothers and sisters. Family and friends may call from 3-5 p.m. Friday, Feb. 21, at Newcomer Funeral Home, 340 S. Monroe Ave., Green Bay. A funeral service will be celebrated at 5 p.m. Friday at the funeral home with the Rev. Ken DeGroot, O. Praem, officiating. Burial will be at Allouez Catholic Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund has been established. Angie’s family would like to extend a thank you to Unity Hospice and the staff at St. Vincent Hospital ninth floor.
