The American Legion Auxiliary Unit 302 and the guidance department of Oconto Falls High School have selected eight junior girls to be delegates to the 2014 session of the American Legion Auxiliary’s Badger Girls State.
It will be held June 15-20 at the University of Wisconsin-Oshkosh. The girls will learn about the democratic form of government on the city, county and state levels by running for offices and living as citizens in the mythical state of Badger.
They will learn about the responsibilities and privileges of citizenship while having fun in the process.
