18-year-old dies in Oconto Falls crash

An 18-year-old man is dead following a vehicle rollover in the Town of Oconto Falls.

Dispatchers were notified after 10 p.m. Oct. 17 about a one-vehicle rollover accident involving a car with injuries on County Road B south of Busy Nook Road.

Oconto County sheriff’s deputies and other first responders immediately responded to the scene of the accident and observed a black car on its side in the east ditch that had extensive damage.

A preliminary investigation revealed the vehicle was traveling north on County Road B when it struck a deer, according to a sheriff’s department press release. The vehicle then lost control and overturned multiple times into the east ditch. The driver from Suring was ejected from the car. The driver was transported to a hospital in Green Bay, where he later died as a result of his injuries.

An ongoing investigation is being conducted by the Oconto County Sheriff’s Office, and the Brown County Medical Examiner’s Office. No other information is being released at this time. The sheriff’s department was assisted by the Oconto Falls Fire Department and Oconto Falls Ambulance Service.
