A Keshena man was indicted this week in federal court on two counts of assaulting his domestic partner.
Arrelio R. Escalante, 36, allegedly punched and strangled, to the point of being unconscious, a woman with whom he had a domestic relationship with.
The woman suffered serious bodily injuries including a broken nose and severe bruising.
On Feb. 27, Escalante was indicted with one count of assault resulting in serious bodily injury and one count of domestic assault by strangulation.
