I could picture Cranberry Island, Maine, while reading “Murder on the Rocks” by Karen Mac Inerney.
Natalie Barnes left the rat race of Austin, Texas, and took a risk when she purchased The Grey Whale Inn B&B. Lobstering is the main industry and the cliffs are home to a fragile tern nesting colony.
This is Natalie’s first summer. With minimal help from her niece Gwen and the assistance from local artist/handyman John, she operates on a very tight budget. Right now, her only guests are the Bittles, the wealthy Bernard Katz and his assistant Ogden Wilson.
