Wittenberg swimmers earn top spots at Howard-Suamico

Members of the Wittenberg Area Swim Program (WASP) collected several top 10 finishes June 1 at the Howard-Suamico Summer Swim Meet.

In the 8 and Under division, Lucy Wierzba, 6, placed sixth in the 25-yard backstroke in 24.72, third in the 25-yard breaststroke in 30.35, seventh in the 25-yard freestyle in 21.74 and second in the 100-yard individual medley in 2:04.9.

Brinley Wierzba, 9, competed in the Girls 9-10 division and placed sixth in the 50-yard backstroke in 46.92 and sixth in the 50-yard freestyle in 38.15.

In the Girls 11-12 division, Aislyn Sauter, 12, was ninth in the 50-yard fly in 37.84, seventh in the 50-yard breaststroke in 40.92, fourth in the 100-yard freestyle in 1:14.97 and 10th in the 100-yard individual medley in 1:27.71.

Megan Gilmeister, 16, competed in the Open 15 and Up division. She placed seventh in the 100-yard fly in 1:17.6, 17th in the 50-yard backstroke in 38.22, 16th in the 50-yard freestyle in 30.57 and third in the 200-yard individual medley in 2:52.63.

In the 8 and Under division, Myles Sauter, 8, placed 15th in the 25-yard backstroke in 36.47 and 12th in the 25-yard freestyle in 29.36.

Competing in the Girls 11-12 division, Peyton Crick, 11, finished 11th in the 50-yard fly in 38.38, 12th int he 50-yard backstroke in 40.57, 14th in the 50-yard breaststroke in 45.68, 14th in the 50-yard freestyle in 34.37 and 12th in the 100-yard individual medley in 1:29.16.
