Witt-Birn boys golf team places 1st at CWC meet

Wittenberg-Birnamwood posted a team score of 349 to place first at a Central Wisconsin Conference meet at Stevens Point Country Club May 3 in Stevens Point.

Bonduel (389) placed fourth, while Marion (447) was eighth and Menominee Indian/Gresham (473) ninth.

Ian Resch and Maverick Beran led Witt-Birn on the course with 18-hole rounds of 83.

Nolan Fraaza fired a round of 91 for the Chargers. Calvin Scheurer and Brian Nelson each shot 92s.

Bonduel was led by Cooper Uelmen's round of 90, while Reed Luepke and Jake Dreyer each shot 94s. Tray Vandenbrook (111) and Mason Moore (113) filled out Bonduel's team.

Ellen Radies was Marion's top finisher, carding a round of 99. Isaiah Gueths (108), Quinn Tolan (111), Sam Gueths (129) and Kasey Rothle (162) filled out the team.

Saswaen Shawanokasic shot a round of 99 to lead the Menominee Indian/Gresham co-op. Will Jensen (120), Jack Haffner (126), Jake Hoffman (128) and Anna Petri (132) were the team's other four golfers.

Shawano takes 6th at Oneida Classic

Shawano earned a score of 352 to place sixth at the May 3 Oneida Classic at Oneida Golf & Country Club in Green Bay.

Kaden Marcell led the Hawks on the course, posting an 18-hole round of 85. Andrew Puissant tallied a round of 87, while Gage Gorman was at 89.

Owen Moesch and Lucas te Plate each shot rounds of 91 for Shawano.
