Victim of fatal crash identified

The victim of a fatal Jan. 28 crash in the Town of Oconto Falls has been identified as Charitee McKenna, 76, of Cecil.

Oconto County Sheriff Todd Skarban said McKenna was traveling west on County Road CC when her car failed to stop at the intersection and was struck by a southbound truck operated by Jeffery T. Hintz, 39, of Krakow.

McKenna, who was the lone occupant of the passenger car, was taken by ambulance to a Green Bay hospital and later died as a result of injuries sustained in the crash. Hintz was airlifted to a hospital in Green Bay with what were also described as serious injuries.
