Pembine/Goodman 1

The top-seeded Lena/St. Thomas Aquinas Academy co-op edged the second-seeded Pembine/Goodman co-op in a Division 4 regional final game June 16 in Marinette.

Lena/STAA will face top-seeded Greenwood in a sectional semifinal at 1 p.m. on June 22. The winner will take on either No. 1 Three Lakes/Phelps or No. 1 Edgar in the sectional final at approximately 4 p.m. that same day. Both sectional games will be played in Athens.

SOFTBALL

Peshtigo 10

Oconto Falls 2

Sixth-seeded Oconto Falls fell behind early and couldn't recover in a Division 3 regional final loss to second-seeded Peshtigo on June 16 in Peshtigo. Oconto Falls scored once in the top of the first inning, but Peshtigo scored 10 unanswered runs before the Panthers scored again in the seventh.

Oconto Falls posted just three singles in the contest, with Taylor Ash, Alexis Euclide and McKayla Goebel earning the hits. Ashlyn Allen and Ash scored the team's runs.

Allen scored on an error in the first, while Ash scored on a wild pitch in the seventh.

Lily Kurek was dealt the loss in the circle, pitching all six innings. She struck out four batters while allowing eight hits and two walks.
