Shawano boys tennis team places 3rd at Bay Tournament

The Shawano Community High School boys tennis team placed third at the Bay Conference Tournament on June 4 in De Pere.

The Hawks accumulated 29 points on the day, finishing behind Xavier (41) and West De Pere (31). Shawano also placed third in the season standings with 87 points, again behind Xavier (119) and West De Pere (99).

Joe Mente (No. 3) and Carson Cummings (No. 4) placed second in singles action for Shawano. The duos of Rory Johnson and Nolan Buck (No. 1), Josh Bergmann and Tristan Szucs (No. 2) and Caden Tetting and Will Myers (No. 3) all placed second in doubles play.

Back in singles play, Leo Liu (No. 2) placed fourth, while Camden Kroll (No. 1) finished in sixth place.

Kroll and Liu each finished 1-2 at the tournament. Mente and Cummings went 1-1 in their matches. All three doubles duos also went 1-1.
