Pulaski takes 3rd at golf regional to qualify for sectionals

The Pulaski High School boys golf team qualified for sectionals after placing third at the Division 1 Notre Dame Regional on May 23 at Northbrook Country Club in Luxemburg.

Pulaski posted a team score of 334, finishing behind De Pere (298) and Bay Port (324). Notre Dame (335) placed fourth to also advance to sectionals as a team.

Shawano placed eighth at the regional with a mark of 403. No individual golfers from Shawano were able to qualify for sectionals.

Connor Burant led Pulaski on the course with an 18-hole round of 80. Brady Hayward carded an 82, while Colin Schultz posted a round of 84.

Dylan Carley (88) and Dixon Holewinski (89) capped the five-golfer team.

Carley said that placing third at the regional to qualify for sectionals means everything to him and his team. He added that it shows the team’s “hard work and dedication has paid off, and that we are capable of achieving great things.”

Carley also said it gives the team “pride and motivation to continue to work hard and improve as a team” and that the squad is excited to keep competing.

Pulaski will next compete in the Notre Dame Sectional on May 30 at Thornberry Creek at Oneida. Players will hit the course at 8:30 a.m.

Shawano was led by Tucker Pyatskowit's round of 98. Luke Guenther tallied a 100.

Braden Barkley posted a round of 102, while Jon Jumonville and Aidan Miesbauer each carded 103s.
