Pulaski’s Gabrielle DeCleene and Olivia Kubiak capped their high school careers by playing in Wisconsin Fastpitch Softball Coaches Association all-star games.

Games took place June 13-14 at Woodside Sports Complex in Wisconsin Dells. The recent Pulaski grads played two games for the Division 1 green team.

“It was awesome to play one last game with Kubie,” said DeCleene. “She is one of my closest friends, so it truly meant a lot to play with someone so close in the all-star game.”

“It was special because I got to represent Pulaski for one last time with one of my closest friends,” said Kubiak.

After arriving in Wisconsin Dells, the all-star teams had meetings before taking part in a practice. DeCleene and Kubiak then went to the Chula Vista Resort before attending a banquet that recognized all the senior players and their accomplishments.

The second day, DeCleene and Kubiak’s team played in a pair of games.

“It’s still hitting me that I won’t play another high school softball game,” DeCleene said. “To play for the last time wearing Pulaski across the front of my jersey at an all-star game will truly stick with me for a long time.”

DeCleene and Kubiak both made the first team in the Fox River Classic Conference this spring. DeCleene played first base and also pitched on her way to being named the Co-Player of the year, while Kubiak was the team’s primary catcher.
