Pulaski’s Ninham advances to state golf meet
Pulaski’s Vivien Ninham placed third in sectional action and qualified for the state golf meet.
Ninham, a senior, shot a 77, just five strokes off the top golfer at the WIAA Division 1 sectional at High Cliff Golf Course in Sherwood on Oct. 2.
Teammate Ella Ficarri tied for 27th with a 91.
Shawano, as team, shot a 389 and finished in last place out of eight teams.
Leading the Hawks was Sophia Eggert, who placed 18th with an 85. She was joined by Lily Glysch’s 37th-place finish with a 98. Maddie Moesch and Braylyn Babino tied for 41st with a 103, and Alli Johnson tied for 44th with a 105.
Division 2
Olivia Wagner shot a 101 and tied for 20th to pace the Oconto Falls golf team at Thornberry Creek in Hobart on Oct 3 in WIAA Division 2 sectional action.
Oconto Falls placed seventh out of nine teams with a 428.
Teammate Taylor Miller placed 25th with a 105, Brynn Hodkiewicz tied for 27th with a 107, Ava Salscheider tied for 39th with a 115 and Mya Magnin tied for 49th with a 122.
As individual qualifiers, Bonduel’s Raina Dworniczak finished in 37th place with a 114, and Colette DeVeau tied for 43rd with a 117.
Oconto’s Madison Sikora finished in 51st place with a 124.
