Oconto Falls High School’s Alex Haines earned a spot on the North Eastern Conference honorable mention team after a productive junior basketball season.

The all-conference honor is the first of Haines’ high school basketball career.

“I see it as room for improvement,” said Haines. “I feel like the goal is first team or even conference Player of the Year (next winter). I also see it as my work finally paying off and that people see my work I put in.”

For the full season, Haines led the Panthers in scoring with 12.2 points per contest. He also averaged 5.1 rebounds and led the team in assists, steals and blocks.

In NEC contests, Haines averaged 10.9 points, 5.2 rebounds, 3.2 assists, 1.3 steals and just under a block a game.

Oconto Falls finished with a 2-16 record in its conference games.
