Oconto Falls’ Bouche makes all-star team
Oconto Falls Legion baseball player Tucker Bouche was named to the 2021 American Legion Baseball All-Star Game.
“Making the all-star game is a dream come true,” said Bouche. “I got to watch Mason (Sefcik) play a few years back, and it was a very organized and special game. I’m excited to be a part of that.”
Bouche is a member of the Stars team, which will battle the Stripes team Aug. 8 at the Milwaukee Brewers’ American Family Field. The all-star game will take place after the Brewers game against the San Francisco Giants, which starts at 1:10 p.m.
That game between the Brewers and Giants is also a day in which the first 35,000 ticketed fans to enter the stadium will be gifted a Christian Yelich bobblehead.
“Playing at American Family Field is going to be a once-in-a-lifetime experience,” said Bouche. “Watching games there as a kid, you always dream of playing on the ‘big field’ one day. Getting that chance now, I’ll make sure to take every moment in.”
All-star players and coaches will be introduced on the field during Milwaukee’s pregame festivities. The all-star game will be the 49th one ever played.
Bouche is eager to play against some of the state’s best.
“I’m excited to compete at a very high level, as well as meet some players and hear their stories,” said Bouche. “You never know where the game will lead you, so I’m going to try to take it all in. I’m extremely excited for this opportunity.”
