Oconto County Public Health accepting COVID-19 vaccination appointments

UPDATE: Oconto County Public Health (OCPH) is now accepting COVID-19 vaccination appointments for those who are currently eligible in Wisconsin as well as for those who will become eligible on March 22, including individuals age 16 and older with asthma (moderate-to-severe), cancer, cerebrovascular disease (affects blood vessels and blood supply to the brain), chronic kidney disease, COPD (chronic obstructive pulmonary disease), cystic fibrosis, diabetes, Down syndrome, heart conditions (such as heart failure, coronary artery disease, or cardiomyopathies), hypertension or high blood pressure, immunocompromised state (weakened immune system) from solid organ transplant, blood or bone marrow transplant, immune deficiencies, HIV, use of corticosteroids, or use of other immune weakening medicines, liver disease, neurologic conditions such as intellectual disabilities and dementia, overweight and obesity, pregnancy, pulmonary fibrosis (having damaged or scarred lung tissues), sickle cell disease, or thalassemia (a type of blood disorder).

Oconto County Public Health is currently accepting COVID-19 vaccination appointments for those who are currently eligible in Wisconsin. Call 920-834-6846 to make an appointment. The clinics are held in Oconto later this week and are by appointment only; no walk-ins will be accepted.

Important Scheduling Information:

• Appointments will not be accepted by voicemail. If you are unable to reach our scheduling staff member, please hang up and try again.

• No wait list will be made or established.

• If you are part of the group that will become eligible on March 22, please do not call at this time. More information will be released in the coming days.

Current eligible groups in Wisconsin:

• Frontline health care personnel

• Residents and staff in skilled nursing and long term care facilities

• Police, fire and corrections personnel

• Adults age 65 and older

• Educators and childcare personnel

• Individuals enrolled in Medicaid long-term care programs

• Some public facing essential workers, specifically 911 operators; utility and infrastructure workers; public transit workers; food supply chain such as farmers, grocery store and restaurant employees

• Non-frontline essential health care personnel

• Congregate living facility staff and residents
