Proceedings of June 10

Zebullin Augustus Fountain, 22, Lena, was placed on four years’ probation beginning with one year of conditional jail for repeated sexual assault of the same child, in connection with incidents that allegedly occurred in 2011 and 2012. Judge Michael T. Judge ruled that during probation, Fountain must complete all assessments, counseling and treatment deemed necessary by the Department of Corrections, comply with the sex offender registry program and have no contact with victim or her family (stay at least 50 feet away).

Christopher Alan Barstow, 36, Marinette, waived his right to a preliminary hearing and pleaded not guilty to charges of bail jumping, possession of methamphetamine, possession of an illegal article and misdemeanor possession of drug paraphernalia, in connection with an incident that allegedly occurred May 6. Barstow had previously pleaded guilty to possession of methamphetamine, in connection with an incident that occurred July 29, 2020, and had been scheduled to be sentenced May 11 when he was arrested on the new charges. Judge James A. Morrison scheduled a status conference on both cases for July 1.

Cory Lee Lohman, 39, Shawano, waived his right to a preliminary hearing and was bound over to circuit court on charges of possession of a firearm by a person convicted of a felony, two misdemeanor counts of failure to obtain approval for deer hunting and misdemeanor illegal shining of deer, elk or bear, in connection with an incident that allegedly occurred Nov. 7. Arraignment was scheduled for July 8.

James Orville Kressin, 69, Mountain, waived his right to a preliminary hearing and was bound over to circuit court on charges of operating a motor vehicle while intoxicated and operating with a prohibited alcohol content (fifth or sixth offense on each count), in connection with an incident that allegedly occurred May 5. Arraignment was scheduled for July 27.

Bond was set at $25,000 cash for James R. Wilson, 38, Lena, after he was charged with first-degree sexual assault of a child under age 13 and child enticement for the purpose of sexual contact, in connection with an incident that allegedly occurred May 27. His initial appearance was adjourned until June 17.

Bond was set at $15,000 cash for Jason J. Samsa, 34, Oconto Falls, after he was charged with three counts of bail jumping, possession of narcotic drugs, possession of methamphetamine, possession of THC, maintaining a drug trafficking place, and misdemeanor charges of resisting or obstructing an officer (two counts), disorderly conduct and possession of drug paraphernalia, in connection with an incident that allegedly occurred June 9. His initial appearance was adjourned until June 17.

Bond was set at $50,000 cash for Randall J. Robenhorst, 60, Little Suamico, after he was charged with three counts of first-degree child sexual assault, three other felony counts involving sexual abuse of a child and child enticement, in connection with an incident that allegedly occurred May 27. His initial appearance was adjourned until June 17.

Proceedings of June 7

Michael Patrick Frehse, 26, Iron Mountain, Michigan, pleaded not guilty to possession of narcotic drugs and misdemeanor charges of possession of THC and possession of drug paraphernalia, in connection with an incident that allegedly occurred Oct. 16. A pre-trial conference was scheduled for Aug. 13.

Rodney L. Baumgarten, 39, Gillett, was released on a $10,000 signature bond after he was charged with possession of a firearm by a person convicted of a felony and two misdemeanor counts of illegal shining of deer, elk or bear, in connection with an incident that allegedly occurred Nov. 25. A pre-trial conference was scheduled for July 15.

Proceedings of June 2

A jury found Jasmine Skye Williams, 29, Keshena, not guilty of reckless driving causing great bodily harm, in connection with a crash that occurred Nov. 5, 2019, on County Road VV near County Road HH in the Town of Underhill.

Proceedings of June 1

Norbert M. Milquet, 43, De Pere, pleaded no contest to strangulation-suffocation and misdemeanor counts of battery and disorderly conduct, in connection with an incident that occurred Nov. 22. Judge Michael T. Judge accepted a deferred judgment agreement on the felony charge and placed Milquet on 18 months’ probation for the misdemeanors, beginning with 30 days in jail commencing no later than July 6. During probation, he must maintain absolute sobriety and undergo assessments for alcohol and other drug abuse and anger management, following through with recommended treatment and/or counseling.

Proceedings of May 27

Elliot Lee Preston, 37, Wallace, Michigan, was placed on two years’ probation after a prison sentence was imposed and stayed for taking and driving a vehicle without the owner’s consent, in connection with an incident that occurred Dec. 7. Judge James Morrison issued a no-contact order and ruled that Preston must maintain absolute sobriety during his probation, including no entry into any establishment where the main purpose is the sale of alcohol. He also levied fines, court costs and restitution totalling $1,068.
