Proceedings of April 22

Nicholas Joseph Meyer, 27, Green Bay, was sentenced to 26 years in prison, followed by 20 years of extended supervision, for first-degree sexual assault of a child younger than 13 and causing mental harm to a child, in connection with an incident that occurred July 4, 2013. Judge Jay N. Conley gave Meyer credit for 307 days already served in the county jail. During extended supervision, he must maintain absolute sobriety; have no contact with anyone under the age of 18 without prior agent approval; comply with all requirements of the Sex Offender Registry Program; and complete all assessments, counseling and treatment deemed necessary by his agent, specifically a sex offender treatment and psychological exam.

James Matthew Watermolen, 37, Green Bay, waived his right to a preliminary hearing and was bound over to circuit court on charges of possession of methamphetamine, possession of narcotic drugs and bail jumping, in connection with an incident that allegedly occurred March 13. Arraignment was scheduled for May 13.

Damian Jade Borman, 21, Little Suamico, waived his right to a preliminary hearing and was bound over to circuit court on charges of felony bail jumping and misdemeanor counts of theft and possession of a controlled substance, in connection with an incident that allegedly occurred March 22. Arraignment was scheduled for May 13.

Bond was set at $10,000 cash for John A. Schneider, 35, Lakewood, after he was charged with possession of child pornography, in connection with an incident that allegedly occurred June 3, 2020. His initial appearance was adjourned to May 13.

Proceedings of April 21

Justin M. Pieper, 25, Gillett, had his deferred prosecution agreement extended for one year on a 2019 felony charge of strangulation-suffocation, after he pleaded no contest to misdemeanor charges of battery and disorderly conduct, in connection with an incident that occurred last May 17. Judge Jay N. Conley sentenced him to one year of probation including four months in the county jail on the misdemeanor counts.

A jury trial was rescheduled for July 20-21 for Christopher Allen Gulledge, 33, Oconto, after Judge Jay N. Conley declined to accept a plea agreement on charges of substantial battery and misdemeanor counts of endangering safety by use of a dangerous weapon, two counts of bail jumping and one count of disorderly conduct, in connection with an incident that allegedly occurred Aug. 21. A final pre-trial conference was scheduled for May 25.

After a preliminary hearing, William J. McGregor, 54, Green Bay, was bound over to circuit court on charges of possession of methamphetamine, possession of narcotic drugs and misdemeanor counts of possession of cocaine and possession of drug paraphernalia, in connection with an incident that allegedly occurred April 4. Arraignment was scheduled for May 13.

Cheyenne R. Hakes, 27, Oconto Falls, waived his right to a preliminary hearing and was bound over to circuit court on charges of possession of methamphetamine and misdemeanor possession of drug paraphernalia, in connection with an incident that allegedly occurred April 11. He stood mute and a not guilty plea was entered on his behalf. A pre-trial conference was scheduled for May 13.

Proceedings of April 20

Whitney Morgan Helms, 35, Neenah, waived her right to a preliminary hearing and pleaded not guilty to charges of burglary, bail jumping and misdemeanor theft, in connection with an incident that allegedly occurred May 22, 2020. A pre-trial conference was scheduled for June 17, at which time a status conference will also be held in connection with pending 2019 charges of possession of methamphetamine precursors (second or subsequent offense), possession of methamphetamine and misdemeanor resisting or obstructing an officer.

After a preliminary hearing, Diana Marie Wynos, 26, Shawano, was bound over to circuit court on charges of first-degree recklessly endangering safety, taking and driving a vehicle without the owner’s consent and fleeing an officer in a vehicle, in connection with an incident that allegedly occurred Dec. 21, 2019. Arraignment was scheduled for May 13.

Geran D. Metko, 35, Green Bay, waived his right to a preliminary hearing and was bound over to circuit court on charges of bail jumping, possession of a firearm by a person convicted of a felony and a misdemeanor count of failure to obtain required approval for deer hunting, in connection with an incident that allegedly occurred Nov. 7. Arraignment was scheduled for May 13.

Proceedings of April 19

A five-day jury trial beginning Aug. 31 was scheduled for David J. SanRoman, 45, Oconto, who faces four counts of first-degree sexual assault of a child under age 12, four counts of causing a child younger than 13 to view or listen to a sex act, four counts of exposing oneself to a child, two counts of repeated sexual assault of a child, child enticement for sexual contact, witness intimidation, second-degree sexual assault of a child and three counts of bail jumping, for incidents alleged to have occurred between 2016 and 2020. A final pre-trial hearing was scheduled for Aug. 16, at which time two cases of bail jumping will be reviewed, one involving an incident alleged to have occurred Jan. 17, 2020, and the other on Aug. 24, 2020. Judge Michael T. Judge denied a defense motion to modify SanRoman’s $250,000 cash bond.

Joshua R. Wenzel, 32, Oconto, was sentenced to 18 months in prison, followed by two years of extended supervision, for substantial battery intending bodily harm, in connection with an incident that occurred Aug. 2. Judge Michael T. Judge ruled that during his sentence, Wenzel must maintain absolute sobriety and complete all assessments, counseling and treatment deemed necessary by his agent. He must also obtain the agent’s permission prior to engaging in any dating or sexual relationships. The sentence is consecutive to any sentences he is currently serving.

Ashley R. Hardy, 20, Marinette, was placed on three years’ probation for theft of movable property worth between $5,000 and $10,000, in connection with an incident that occurred Feb. 3, 2019, and forgery-uttering, in connection with an incident that occurred April 7, 2019. Other charges were dismissed in a plea agreement but will be read into the record. Judge Jay N. Conley ruled that during probation, she must pay restitution of $20,000 split with a co-defendant, along with court costs for a total responsibility of $12,061. She must maintain absolute sobriety; have no contact with the victim unless victim asks and the probation agent approves; and complete all assessments, counseling and treatment deemed necessary by the agent.

Reginald R. Tucker, 38, Neopit, was placed on two years’ probation beginning with a year in the county jail for possession of methamphetamine, in connection with an incident that occurred Dec. 2. Judge Jay N. Conley gave Tucker credit for 138 days already served. During probation, he must maintain absolute sobriety and full-time employment and undergo an alcohol and other drug abuse assessment, following through with any recommended treatment/counseling.

John E. Timm, 41, Oconto Falls, entered an Alford plea to two counts of possession of child pornography, meaning that he does not admit guilt but will not contest the charges. Judge Michael T. Judge scheduled sentencing for June 22 and ordered a pre-sentence investigation.

A July 14 jury trial was scheduled for Blake E. Gewont, 45, Krakow, on a charge of operating a motor vehicle while intoxicated (fourth offense), in connection with an incident that allegedly occurred June 13, 2020. A final pre-trial conference was scheduled for July 6.

Maria C. Laws, 33, Lena, waived her right to a preliminary hearing and pleaded not guilty to possession with intent to deliver amphetamine, bail jumping, possession of narcotic drugs, possession of methamphetamine and misdemeanor possession of drug paraphernalia, in connection with an incident that allegedly occurred Feb. 6. A pre-trial conference was scheduled for May 13, along with a status conference on an earlier case in which Laws is accused of possession with intent to deliver methamphetamine, possession with intent to deliver THC, two counts possession of narcotic drugs and misdemeanor possession of drug paraphernalia, in connection with an incident that allegedly occurred Aug. 18.

After a preliminary hearing, Cheryl Lynn Jenkins, 50, Gillett, was bound over to circuit court on a charge of operating a motor vehicle while intoxicated (fifth or sixth offense), in connection with an incident that allegedly occurred April 11. Arraignment was scheduled for May 13.

Gillie Robinson, 40, Kankakee, Illinois, waived his right to a preliminary hearing and pleaded not guilty to strangulation-suffocation and misdemeanor counts of battery, resisting or obstructing an officer and disorderly conduct, in connection with an incident that allegedly occurred Sept. 4. A pre-trial conference was scheduled for July 6.
