Proceedings of Sept. 23

Shawn R. Schleis, 49, Suamico, was sentenced to two years in prison, followed by three years of extended supervision, for operating a motor vehicle while intoxicated (fifth or sixth offense), in connection with an incident that occurred April 24. Judge Michael T. Judge gave him credit for 123 days already served in the county jail and ruled that after 18 months he is eligible for the Substance Abuse Program, which can lead to early release upon successful completion. His driver’s license is revoked for three years, he must maintain absolute sobriety during his extended supervision, and he must enter into, participate in and successfully complete any assessments, evaluations and/or treatment programs as directed by the corrections department, including an alcohol and other drug abuse assessment and treatment.

Cheryl Lynn Nelson, 57, Pulaski, pleaded no contest to operating a motor vehicle while intoxicated (fifth or sixth offense), in connection with an incident that occurred March 8. Judge scheduled sentencing for Nov. 8 and ordered a pre-sentence investigation.

Dean Allen Stark Jr., 22, Pulaski, who had been charged with fleeing an officer in a vehicle, pleaded no contest to an amended misdemeanor charge of resisting or obstructing an officer, in connection with an incident that occurred Jan. 17, 2021. Judge levied fines and court costs of $599, as well as $225 for a related traffic charge.

Diamond Latrisha Jones, 23, Gillett, pleaded no contest to misdemeanor counts of possession of THC and possession of drug paraphernalia, in connection with an incident that occurred Jan. 31. A felony charge of maintaining a drug trafficking place was dismissed in a plea agreement. Judge places Jones on probation for one year and levied fines and court costs.

Destiny Rae Rockman, 33, Neopit, waived her right to a preliminary hearing and was bound over on charges of possession of methamphetamine, bail jumping, and misdemeanor possession of drug paraphernalia, in connection with an incident that allegedly occurred Sept. 3. A preliminary hearing was scheduled for Nov. 17.

Proceedings of Sept. 22

Dale J. Depeau, 56, Luxemburg, waived his right to a preliminary hearing and pleaded not guilty to second-degree reckless endangerment and misdemeanor hit and run, in connection with a crash that occurred May 30. A pre-trial conference was scheduled for Nov. 17.

Reese Ashley Chapin, 17, Gillett, waived her right to a preliminary hearing and was bound over on charges of taking and driving a vehicle without the owner’s consent, misdemeanor resisting or obstructing an officer, possession of a controlled substance, possession of drug paraphernalia, in connection with an incident that allegedly occurred Aug. 10. A plea hearing was scheduled for Oct. 3.

Proceedings of Sept. 21

Clayton R. Frehse, 18, Suring, waived his right to a preliminary hearing and pleaded not guilty to second-degree recklessly endangering safety and three misdemeanor counts of bail jumping, in connection with an incident that allegedly occurred Aug. 10. A preliminary hearing was scheduled for Nov. 17.

After a preliminary hearing Amy S. Lance, 51, Green Bay, was bound over on charges of operating a motor vehicle with a restricted controlled substance (fourth offense) and two counts of felony bail jumping, in connection with an incident that allegedly occurred Aug. 31. Arraignment was scheduled for Nov. 17.

Proceedings of Sept. 20

Ramon Mack Guillory, 35, Lake Charles, Louisiana, waived his right to a preliminary hearing and pleaded not guilty to operating a motor vehicle while intoxicated and operating a motor vehicle with a prohibited blood-alcohol content, both fourth offenses, in connection with an incident that allegedly occurred April 13. A pre-trial conference was scheduled for Nov. 17.

Proceedings of Sept. 19

Ashley A. Phillips, 38, Oconto, pleaded no contest to possession of methamphetamine, in connection with an incident that occurred Oct. 19, 2021. Several other charges were dismissed but read into the record. Judge scheduled sentencing for Nov. 14 and ordered a pre-sentence investigation.

Aaron C. Nearman, 41, Oconto Falls, was placed on three years probation after a prison sentence was imposed and stayed for possession of a firearm by a person convicted of a felony, and a misdemeanor count of possession of THC, in connection with an incident that occurred Dec. 1, 2021. He was given credit for 250 days already served in the county jail. Judge ruled that during probation Nearman must maintain absolute sobriety and comply with any assessments, counseling, treatment deemed necessary by his probation agent, to include an alcohol and other drug abuse assessment.

Madelyn Rae Shimon, 24, Green Bay, waived her right to a preliminary hearing and pleaded not guilty to charges of felony bail jumping and misdemeanor bail jumping, in connection with an incident that allegedly occurred July 3. A pre-trial conference was scheduled for Nov. 17.

Cody R. Ludwig, 30, Pound, waived his right to a preliminary hearing and pleaded not guilty to felony bail jumping and misdemeanor possession of drug paraphernalia, in connection with an incident that allegedly occurred Sept. 8. He is awaiting trial on other charges of possession of methamphetamine and misdemeanor possession of drug paraphernalia, in connection with an incident that allegedly occurred June 10. A pre-trial conference was scheduled for Nov. 17.
