Proceedings of Sept. 16

Joseph Daniel Gaffney, 65, Lakewood, was placed on three year probation after a prison term was imposed and stayed for felony bail jumping and misdemeanor disorderly conduct, in connection with an incident that occurred Sept. 24, 2021. Among other conditions, Judge Michael T. Judge imposed a no-contact provision and ordered Gaffney to maintain absolute sobriety and complete all assessments, counseling and treatment deemed necessary by his probation agent to include an alcohol and other drug abuse assessment.

Proceedings of Sept. 15

Harrison J. Cain, 20, Oconto, pleaded not guilty to charges of felony bail jumping and misdemeanor charges of causing injury while operating a motor vehicle under the influence, in connection with a crash that occurred April 2. A pre-trial conference was scheduled for Nov. 17.

Katie M. Novoselatz, 24, Suamico, pleaded not guilty to child neglect and misdemeanor resisting or obstructing an officer, in connection with an incident that allegedly occurred May 7. A pre-trial conference was scheduled for Nov. 17.

Bond was reduced from $7,500 to $6,000 cash for Joseph A. Reignier, 21, Oconto Falls, who is awaiting trial on charges of child abuse intentionally causing harm, in connection with an incident that allegedly occurred April 28, and strangulation and suffocation, in connection with an incident that allegedly occurred April 22. A pre-trial conference was scheduled for Oct. 13.

Amy M. Harris, 36, Oconto Falls, pleaded not guilty to possession of THC (second or subsequent offense), in connection with an incident that allegedly occurred July 5. Arraignment was scheduled for Sept. 15. A pre-trial conference was scheduled for Nov. 17.

A bench warrant was issued for Robert J. Trepanier, 58, Oconto, after he failed to appear in court on charges of battery or threat to a law officer and criminal damage to property, in connection with an incident that allegedly occurred July 10.

Proceedings of Sept. 14

Samantha Jo Ludwig, 35, Pound, waived her right to a preliminary hearing and pleaded not guilty to two counts causing injury by operating a motor vehicle while intoxicated with a passenger under age 16, and two misdemeanor counts of operating a motor vehicle with a passenger under age 16 while intoxicated (first offense), in connection with a crash in the Town of Stiles on July 18. A pre-trial conference was scheduled for Oct. 13.

Proceedings of Sept. 13

Michael L. Christensen, 20, Suring, pleaded no contest to to repeated sexual assault of the same child, in connection with incidents that allegedly occurred between June and September 2021. Judge scheduled sentencing for Nov. 15 and ordered a pre-sentence investigation.

Maryana D. Barber, 37, Crivitz, pleaded guilty to charges of the manufacture and delivery of THC, felony child neglect, and two counts of misdemeanor child neglect, in connection with an incident that occurred Jan. 14. Judge Jay N. Conley scheduled sentencing for Nov. 14 and ordered a pre-sentence investigation.

Dustin W. Freed, 25, Green Bay, pleaded guilty to possession of methamphetamine, in connection with an incident that occurred March 18. Judge scheduled sentencing for Nov. 7 and ordered a pre-sentence investigation.

James R. Johnson, 33, Oconto, no contest to misdemeanor charges of battery and disorderly conduct, in connection with an incident that occurred Dec. 18. The charge was amended from a felony. Judge placed Johnson on probation for 18 months.

Proceedings of Sept. 12

Faithe Emaleigh Nicole Parins, 22, Pulaski, was sentenced to 18 months in prison, followed by two years of extended supervision, for possession of methamphetamine in connection with an incident that occurred Oct. 31, 2021. Judge ruled that among other terms of extended supervision, Parins must maintain absolute sobriety and complete all programs deemed appropriate by the Department of Corrections. She may also have no contact with anyone who uses, sells, or possesses illegal drugs. Judge gave her credit for 25 days already served in the county jail.

Gregory Joe Meyer, 34, Lena, pleaded no contest to possession of methamphetamine in connection with an incident that occurred Nov. 8. Judge scheduled sentencing for Nov. 15 and ordered a pre-sentence investigation.

Anthony Andrew Rost, 45, Little Suamico, waived his right to a preliminary hearing and was bound over on charges of felony bail jumping and misdemeanor battery, disorderly conduct, and endangering safety by use of a dangerous weapon, in connection with an incident that allegedly occurred Aug. 20. Arraignment was scheduled for Oct. 3. Rost also has charges pending of substantial battery intending bodily harm and two misdemeanor counts of disorderly conduct in an alleged July 12 incident.

After a preliminary hearing Leonardo Juarez, 53, an inmate of Green Bay Correctional Institution, was bound over and pleaded not guilty to charges of second-degree sexual assault, child enticement for sexual purposes, false imprisonment, and exposing himself to a child, in connection with an incident that allegedly occurred Oct. 31, 2018. A pre-trial conference was scheduled for Nov. 7.
